Belfast Ireland’s Gary Moore, better known as the guitar player for Thin Lizzy died early Sunday, February 6th, while vacationing in Spain with his girlfriend.
As of now, his death is said to be of natural cause and not anything out of the ordinary or suspicious.
Moore played off-and-on with Thin Lizzy through the 70’s until 1978 when he decided to stay and be a permanent member until the untimely death of bassist and singer, Phil Lynott, in 1986.
Moore’s guitar roots ran deep in playing blues music and he went back to those roots after the death of Lynott. He had a successful solo career of his own and collaborated with top musicians like George Harrison, of The Beetles.
The music world will mourn the loss of another musician from an era which I consider to have produced many of today, and tomorrows most influential sounds.
