Set to Release New Album, ‘Almost Heaven’, in the US on January 24th, 2012 Swindon, UK’s THE DEAD LAY WAITING (TDLW) is unveiling two more U.S. exclusive tracks from their upcoming album, Almost Heaven, releasing in the U.S. with Rising Records on January 24th, 2012. MetalUnderground.com is currently streaming the track ‘Always Ask Why’, and SkullsNBones.com is streaming the track ‘Choke On Your Words’. Check out both tracks now and stay tuned to hear more tracks from TDLW in the coming weeks! One of the most memorable moments of recording Almost Heaven was the title track itself and having Barry Clayton (the voice behind Iron Maiden’s Number Of The Beast) join TDLW in the studio as the narrator. When the band initially discussed having Barry Clayton on the record, they didn’t know where to start and whether he would even agree to the task ahead. But after much effort the band eventually tracked Barry down and thankfully he agreed to participate. The band would like to send their deepest sympathies to his friends and family. May he rest in peace. You can watch a video of Barry narrating with the band here. Almost Heaven was released in June 2011 in the UK, featuring 14 tracks and 60 minutes of pulsating music. The band’s first music video from the album, ‘The Days I’m Gone,’ reached #6 in the Scuzz TV playlist, and the band is planning to release a second video for the track ‘Burnt to Ashes’. With a fan base growing, the band is ready to take on anything anywhere and perform their bone-crushing live performance across the world. Performers at last year’s Download Festival (and returning this year) and nominated for a heap of Best Band awards, this black-clad five-piece shred and headbang in the vein of Bring Me The Horizon.”- Terrorizer Magazine “Unleashing a hard as nails racket with ruthless precision, arriving on a storm of thunderous riffs and boiling vitriol.”- KERRANG! Magazine “Their music is more extreme – plunging, powerful and raw – with really grooving sense of grind at times that rears its head regularly. What you get is the sense of a band striving to be a little outside of the norm, and carrying it off well. Almost Heaven is a convincing way to begin what should be a triumphant march.”- Metal Hammer Magazine — For more information about THE DEAD LAY WAITING, please visit these websites:
