Having been introduced to Kittie about 10 years ago by my friend Mike, I’ve always wanted to see them live, but never had the opportunity- until now!
Kittie recently played in Seattle at a small dark venue (perfect for felines) and brought some of their friends from the North (Canada) in what I would call a female invasion of sort.
Orignally Litsa had an interview setup with singer, Morgan Lander, but she was a bit ill so Morgan had to pass on the interview. We instead were given the pleasure of meeting and talking with drummer, Mercedes Lander (yes, they are sister’s) who turned out to be a delight to interview.
I never would have imagined Mercedes, or any of the girls in the band to be so contiensious about their health while turning. I know that it makes sense to be, but I guess I never would have thought to the extent that Mercedes was. No wonder she looks healthy, and can keep up with such a grueling pace of touring. (here’s a hint, bring her some tea the next time you see her)
She and Litsa talked about roller coaster, shooting videos, and touring.
Check out the interview, and learn more about Mercedes, Kittie, and touring. Oh, and before I forget, the band The Agonist fronted by lead singer Alissa White-Gluz rocked as well!
