The official Seattle Superhero “Phoenix Jones!” music video!

cartoonist Travis Bundy

Comic book superhero’s have been all the rage at the movies in recent years, and there’s no reason that Seattle’s self made super hero, Phoenix Jones shouldn’t do the same.   And the best part- he’s got a cool new video and song to go along with it!

During my outing over this past weekend, I ran into the lead singer/bass player Lou Trez, of the Seattle alternative/punk/rock band Quickie at a venue north of Seattle, and he took a few minutes to talk to me about the bands new video and what’s on the horizon for the band.

First off, if you liked Batman, and the 60’s era of “Bam”,  “Smash”, KaPow!” then you are going to absolutely love this new video.  Trez did give me some indications that they are working on something huge for the Spring of 2013, which put them on the map of success once again.  But for now I’m going to have to keep it quiet until they are ready to release it to the world.  So in the mean time, have some fun and check out their videos and music.

Quickie, the band, have been around for a number of years but it wasn’t until 2010 that they became widely known when they played an astonishing 44 shows in 1 day, setting a Guinness Book world record!  From that point it was nothing but the sky for the three members of Quickie, Lou Trez (bass/vocals), Joe Wolf (guitar), and Kelly Lichtenwaldt (drums).  Quickie songs have been included in some of today’s top television shows on NBC, and the CW.

Watch their creative and fun video that have some catchy hooks and cleaver lyrics- I know you’ll be as hooked as I was.
