This or the Apocalypse Appearing on the ‘Pull Me From The Gallows’ Tour with The Human Abstract, Scale the Summit and More this Spring
THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE’s Grant McFarland and Meinl Cymbals are pleased to announce the brand new ‘MEINL Grant McFarland Video Contest’. Fans can enter now at http://meinldrumcontest.com/. By entering, fans have the chance to win a set-up of Meinl’s new Classics Custom Series cymbals. Please read the information at the provided link for complete contest rules and regulations as the information below is a summary.
To enter, contestants simply have to download the mp3 of THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE’s track ‘Toro’ at http://meinldrumcontest.com/. There are two downloadable mp3 tracks: one with a click that counts the listener in and continues throughout the song and one with a click that counts the listener in but then drops out once the song begins. Contestants may choose whichever track they feel most comfortable playing along to, record a video of themselves playing along to it and upload it at the above link. Contestants must be visible in the video, and both your drumming and the backing track must be audible. The quality of drumming and the accurate and faithful replication of the drumming to the song is the most important aspect of the video.
Contestants have from April 1st, 2011 until July 31st, 2011 to upload their video. Videos that are uploaded after July 31st, 2011 will not be considered. Once all videos have been uploaded, Grant McFarland of THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE and Chris Adler of LAMB OF GOD will personally view all of the videos submitted and will judge which one is the winner. Once they have picked a winner, their choice will be final. The grand prize winner will be announced on www.meinlcymbals.com and www.meinldrumcontest.com.
